I just really needed to ink something because it’s been awhile, and inking feels so niiiice.
Remember when I did that color study? Here’s a panel from the scene it was for. I gotta say, this scene has some of my favorite Bright Side backgrounds in it, though this particular panel might not be the best example….but you’ll get to see once I start posting again, hopefully sometime this month. Which is probably what I said like 5 months ago, but this time I’ve got some finished art to back up the statement.
New comics SOON, I promise!
Finally finally finally this cover. Now I just need a synopsis to put in the space I left for a synopsis except I’m really terrible at writing synopses. If anyone else wants to volunteer to write something for me that would be rad too…
Fun fact, this was actually painted in grey and turned purple with the magic of photoshop. The reason being that purple is a more expensive color and this would have used a lot of it. Also because I hadn’t decided between purple or teal. I might do a variant witha teal cover also…
Also I forgot how much I hate dealing with large files. Especially large pdfs, ugh @_@
Once upon a time, I drew this, so here’s this year’s rendition.
Bonus remixes by Luna and Rachel, circa October, 2010.
Whoops, I’m being incredibly silly right now. But this is one of those dumb jokes that will never stop being funny to me.
Some black and white Derek for funsies or whatever.
Taking a break from painting comics because yellow/orange is such a pain in the butt color to work with. Black and white is nice and relaxing.
Some quick Rainbow drawings.
I drew this as a present for my aunt. I hope it’s not conceited to give a picture of my own character to someone as a gift.
Sunflowers are a symbol of happiness and longevity.
When I can get to sleep, I draw Derek comics. When Derek can’t get to sleep, he sings to fish. *shrug* I don’t even know, but I like this one…
Doodling around. I should draw more things that aren’t Derek. I should draw more things in general. Gonna get on that…
Today in poorly documented drawings from my sketchbook.
